Writing Experience

As a writer, I've had an exciting journey exploring diverse cultural landscapes from Seoul to Jerusalem. My online contributions include pieces on contemporary issues for platforms such as Korea.Net and Foreign Report. In the UK, I've made my mark in prominent publications such as The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, The Birmingham Post and Mail and The Sunday Mercury. My advocacy for human rights is evident in contributions to the Open Rights Group in London, and even The Pink Paper has featured my narrative flair. This wealth of writing experience demonstrates my adaptability and unwavering commitment to exploring diverse perspectives and stories.

With a CELTA qualification and a career spanning diverse international contexts, I am dedicated to the transformative power of language. My expertise is further bolstered by my experience as an IELTS Examiner, providing me with a deep understanding of global proficiency standards.Currently, I serve as a Salaried Teacher at EF Toronto, where I balance classroom instruction with academic administrative support. From the lecture halls of Joongbu University in Korea to premier institutions in Vancouver and Toronto, my goal remains the same: to bridge cultural gaps and empower students through linguistic excellence.

Human Resources

I am a graduate of George Brown College’s Human Resources Management program, where I completed HRPA-certified coursework in preparation for the CHRP designation. My academic training covers the full spectrum of the field, including employee and labor relations, diversity and inclusion, and the development of comprehensive HR policies.My practical experience includes working within the Human Resources team at GoBolt, where I navigated the complexities of a fast-paced corporate environment. Additionally, I have a strong foundation in workplace compliance and safety; as a member of the Health and Safety Team at EF Toronto, I completed the JHSC - Part One program, ensuring a high standard of occupational health and safety in the workplace.

Advocacy

Advocating for same-sex marriage in South Korea was a deeply rewarding experience, requiring a careful dance through cultural norms and societal expectations. Through rallies, discussions, and media campaigns, I collaborated with like-minded individuals to challenge misconceptions and amplify the voices of those in the LGBTQ+ community.
